More snow!
We got another few inches of snow. It's warm enough today that it's starting to melt, but Jason and I went on our usual walk through the countryside and enjoyed the sunlight! I've already had one cup of coffee and I am considering having cup number two!

Upon Our Return
Any details come later. Brain is fried. We got home around 6:30 and we are relaxing. I'm reading magazines. I'll discuss things later... for now...
Have a picture!

I took this at the park in downtown Greenville, South Carolina. Undoubtedly poisonous, but still lovely.

We're leeeeeeavin', on a jet plane... or in a car...
We're going to South Carolina tomorrow to see Jason's family for a week! I don't think I will update this while I'm gone, just because we'll be doing stuff and kind of busy, but I shall leave you with an adorable photo of Jason and the cat napping yesterday:
Enjoy!

A walk in the country
It was very sunny and got up to 16 degrees so far today, so Jason and I took a walk, and I took some pictures! Jason is currently making us stir fry for lunch, so I for one am excited! I've cooked dinner for the last couple of days... Pasta with veggies, shrimp, and pesto was a hit as well as using the last of our spicy chili and some tomatoes in a can to make kind of a southwestern tomato-sauce for yet more pasta and veggies. We're trying to eat more veggies! As well as more fruit.
But, let's be honest with ourselves, gentle readers, you're not here to listen to me ramble about vegetables and pasta. On to walk-pictures!

The year two thousand and froze to death
Weather.com is constantly reassuring me that tomorrow will be better. Currently, it is 12 degrees outside and the wind chill is 0. I suppose I should be thrilled it is no longer negatives? I'm actually pretty cheerful this morning. I've had my first cup of coffee and I'm about to start on my second. The cat's asleep in the bedroom and music is playing. Jason gets off work at 4, which I am definitely looking forward to.
I will possibly be doing a work-at-home internet thing. I've checked it out, it's absolutely legit, and while it doesn't pay great, it's something until I get a job. I've filled out a few more applications. When it gets warm enough that wearing my nice clothes doesn't equal freezing to death, I'll drive around and ask at a few places I know don't have websites or post up job openings online or anything.
I am just starting to warm up, which you can probably thank the coffee for. It's probably also due to me currently wearing two pairs of pajama pants (both light grey), my thick wool socks and slippers; a tank top, long-sleeved T-shirt, regular T-shirt, and sweater over that, my wool hat, and a scarf tied over my head. But let me tell you, I am gettin' cozy in here.

More Snow
I put this up as a status on facebook a couple of days ago, but I think it deserves its very own blog entry.
I cannot wait to live in a place where it is rare that I will look outside and think, "Well, if I stay inside I won't get frostbite, so that's a plus" and not an every day occurrence.
I need to take the trash out, but I have no snow boots. Snow boots would have been a good investment for me this year. Argh.

Snow in SoIll
Started snowing last night before we went to bed and Jason had to sort of sweep-shovel himself out today to go to work! So I took a couple of pictures. Why am I up at 8:30 AM? I have no idea. Even better, why did I ask Jason to wake me up at 5:30 when he got up for work and then promptly doze for two hours? ALSO A GOOD QUESTION.

At least staying at home is honing my cooking skills?
I'm trying to make sort of a sausage chili with bacon which so far looks delicious and very chili-like. We'll see!

The moment I wake up...
I did not wake up cheerful today. Oh well. I have lots of soup to eat and lots and lots of mulled stuff to drink. We already had leftovers in the fridge, though. In short, this is sort of a hilarious amount of food.
Today's plans:
Finish doing the dishes/getting food into tupperware pots, pay the rent, set up billpay for Mediacom out of my bank account.
Look into jobs.
